Pipeline drying

Drying of pipelines is essential for the reliable pipeline operation as it prevents internal corrosion, formation of hydrates in gas pipelines and also freezing of water in above ground piping and gas pressure regulators.

Our efficient air drying and vacuum drying equipment removes water from pipelines quickly and efficiently. We can provide solutions optimizing time and cost of each project using both methods.

CEPS provides turn-key commissioning services including engineering studies and/or specification development, pipeline cleaning and gauging, chemical treatment of test water, pipeline flooding, hydrostatic pressure testing, tightness tests, pipeline dewatering and pipeline air drying and vacuum drying.

Air drying

Our air drying units can dry air to dew point of water of −80 °C that helps to achieve specified values on pipeline output quickly.

Vacuum drying

Evaporation of water intensifies and boiling point of water drops with decreasing atmospheric pressure. High ambient temperature also helps to increase efficiency of vacuum drying.

1992–2021 Drying over 800 km of  4″ to 28″ existing pipelines after revalidation hydraulic pressure tests or off-line inspections in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Latvia
2012–2013 Air drying of 53 km of 56″ GAZELLE pipeline, Czech Republic
2012 Vacuum drying of Valve Metering Station in Veľké Zlievce, Slovakia, with approximately 6 km of 4″–56″ piping system
