Both maternal companies have been involved in the area of operational safety of high-pressure systems, mainly gas and oil pipelines for years. The activities of SEPS were focused both to special repairs of gas, oil/product lines and to performing of stress-tests on newly constructed pipelines. On other side, CPS was specialised mainly to rehabilitation of high-pressure gas pipelines after long time of operation.

Combining the knowledge from those working areas creates in CEPS excellent know-how of qualified evaluating, checking and restoring the high-pressure pipelines operating safety and reliability.

Many employees of CEPS have been active more than 20 years in the sector of pipeline reliability; they conduced and managed this special research and development works in the former R&D centre of Czech Gas Industry. In the frame of that works they tightly cooperated with top specialists from Czech Academy of Sciences, research institutes and prestigious technical universities. This close cooperation has been running since early 70’ till now.

 

 

 

CEPS PROVIDES A Complex Service Of Pipeline Systems

CEPS provides  a complex service of pipeline systems for transport and distribution of gas, oil, oil products and other chemicals to its clients. CEPS is also involved in service works on piping of oil refineries and nuclear power stations.

The main works provided are:

  • stress-test (hydrotests) and hydraulic pressure tests of newly constructed pipelines

  • rehabilitation of steel high-pressure pipelines after long time of operation

  • construction of steel pipelines and their repairs

  • repairs and reconstructions of river, road and railroad crossings

  • repairs of damaged high-pressure pipelines in full operation using steel or composite reinforcing sleeves and other special technologies

  • repairs and reconstructions of high-pressure pipelines using T. D. Williamson Hot-Tapping and Line-Plugging (Stopple) equipment

  • cleaning and calibration of newly constructed pipelines (precommisioning)

  • cleaning of pipelines for gas, oil and product transport

  • displacement of liquids from pipelines

  • decontamination of pipelines for transport of liquids before repairs or abandonment

  • drying of pipelines and other pipings and technologies before operation using both technology of super pre-dried air and vacuum drying

  • long lasting fatigue tests of pipeline material and components qualified customer checking of pipes in the pipe mill (pipe commissioning)

  • on-line measurement of hydraulic friction factor on natural gas
    high-pressure pipelines

  • application of pipeline integrity management systems and lifetime of pipeline systems assessment

  • safety and ecological analyses

  • emergency services

The management system of CEPS is certified  
by Det Norske Veritas according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
 

The welding process is certified by DOM – ZO 13 according to EN ISO CSN 3834-2:2006.

The company is certified in the system GAS for 
construction and repairs of steel pipelines 
with unlimited dimension and working pressure.

Capital and Owners Structure

 

 

The CEPS company has been founded the 1st of January 1999 by two Czech companies, Český plynárenský servis, spol. s r.o., Tábor (National Registration Number 62522361) and SEPS a.s. Praha (National Registration Number 63999358), with basic capital 1 million Czech crowns.

Since the year 1999 the basic capital has been step-by-step increased from company’s own sources to 5 millions Czech crowns.
